Ademola Ogunbanjo began his career at Akinade Nigeria and has since garnered more than 18 years’ experience spanning marketing, business development, human resources, and strategy working for the National Bank of Nigeria, the multi-national mobile telecommunications company MTN, and Vmobile (now Airtel Nigeria).

He joined Ocean and Oil Holdings in March 2007 as Manager of Energy Investments: his role was to offer exclusive consulting services to Oando across such functions as human resources, energy services, sales, and marketing. He later co-pioneered the formation of a new subsidiary, Avaizon Consulting – a strategy, execution management, and business performance coaching firm – and served as Vice-President of Strategy and Execution Management for two years before becoming its Chief Executive Officer.

Currently, Ademola is an Executive Council member and Head of Human Capital Management at Oando Energy Resources, a $2 billion E&P company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. His role covers the entire spectrum of HR responsibilities from strategy to implementation, and supervises the company’s business operations in Toronto, Calgary, London, Port-Harcourt, Abuja, and headquartered in Lagos.

Ademola is a scholar of the Said Business School, University of Oxford, and HEC Business School, Paris where he studied Consulting and Coaching for Change. He trained as a consultant at Oxford Management Consulting, UK, and is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants. A SEC-certified Market Analyst, Ademola holds a B.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and an Executive Masters Certificate in Project Management from the PM College, London.
