GCC private sector salaries are set to rise by 6.9 per cent in 2015, despite the drop in oil prices, according to the latest edition of the research report ‘Employment and Salary Trends in the Gulf’ released by GulfTalent.

The report found healthcare to be the quickest growing sector across the region, with an estimated 82 per cent of employers in the sector expanding their workforce last year and 79 per cent planning to do so in 2015.

Qatar is projected to be the country with the highest rate of job creation in 2015, following plans for major infrastructure projects receiving the go-ahead.

The reported revealed that 66 per cent of employers in Qatar reported plans to increase headcount.
